How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am on the steering committee for transitioning Montpelier, Vermont.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I appreciate the grassroots, proactive nature of the Transition movement. I feel we have a good basis here in Vermont for developing an even more deeply sustainable lifestyle, and I believe that the Transition Initiative provides a great model. The stakes are high and the time most likely short, and it's time to get on with the party!
Erika Keller has mentioned you often, so I thought I would say hello. She has spoken of your tireless efforts on behalf of Transition Montpelier and what a great effort and group of folks it has become. I'd love to come up an visit sometime to get away from the noise of Providence.
I am an old friend of Erika and am trying to cheer her on in her efforts to make her Vermont place an example of permaculture excellence -- over time of course. My background is horticulture, landscape design and photography.
Thank you for arranging for Naresh Giangrande to speak in Montpelier. As I mentioned to George Lisi, the evening was informative, entertaining, enlightening and inspiring. People really know their stuff in the Montpelier area and are clearly already in the right mindset. Based on what I witnessed, I think Transition is going to be very successful in Montpelier and the surrounding communities.
Congratulations on a great start to Transition Town Montpelier and I wish you much success in the months to come.
Regards,
Stan
P.S. Here is a picture of you kicking off the evening
Welcome Annie and soon to be Transition Vermont! Great to see you here and active on the VT steering committee.
We invite you to go to Starting Local Groups on Transition US and then to Vermont. Tell us a little more about what's happening in your neighborhood. This makes your group visible to other groups in VT and elsewhere around the world. Be sure to ask questions as they arise.

What Les said! By the way, he is a very helpful guy if any technical questions arise.
Cheers, George ~
