Transition Social Network Communications Using Skype

Skype is the official phone and conference calling tool for our social networks.
  • Install Skype -- Free calls and conference calls for skype-to-skype users. Set up LSquiresSkype as a Contact and call me with questions about Transition. I'll help you set up conference calls with your initiators, friends, family, committees, workgroups and virtual special interest groups. Communication is my passion and my contribution to Transitioners.
  • Skype calls to landlines and cell phones -- Need to call non-Skype phones? Set up a pre-paid account. Call me if you have questions how pre-paids differ from skype-to-skype free accounts. Very handy when I was 4 months in India last year and called clients back in the U.S. at 2.1 cents a minute. This is how Skype can afford to give free service to skype-to-skype users. Call me at LSquiresSkype if you have further questions.
  • Getting the Network the World Needs Les Squires is a real fan of Lawrence Lessig. If you want to understand the heart of social networking, and why the Transition movement sports approximately 100 ning sites, here is a must watch video. Lessig helps us all think out of our cultural boxes.

Hello Les, A few weeks ago i created a group called Sustainable Hoodland - I sent out invitations to the people I am working with here - and had 3 people accept. Now i can not find the group and I can not find some of the people who joined. We are continuing our activities here, But i was about to send out a posting and can't find my group. Any ideas ?

Would you, or others you know in Russia, be interested in starting TRANSITION RUSSIA? Let me know. I'll be happy to assist.
Yes! It's a grate idea. I think that the best place for this initiative is Lomonosov Moscow State University. I'm looking for you assistance, Les Squires

Thanks for the welcome Les. Those of us of a "certain age" and who have plowed the ground before have an obligation to share lessons learned.

Thank you for the welcome. Do you know anybody or have any ideas how to find anybody who is working across the church-permaculture divide? I haven't turned up much with googling yet so hope to find out who is doing what through networking.

Thanks so much for the welcome, Les. I already see a name or two of people I am e-acquainted with through shared interests/groups, e.g. Duane Elgin - simplicity network. I met with three friends this afternoon; we're starting on reading/discussing The Transition Handbook for initial common ground.

Les, You wrote asking if I got my membership issues fixed. I'm not sure. I searched my name and only found one of me but I also didn't find your letter in my inbox. I logged in with keith@permaculture activist.net but your letter came to keithd.johnson@comcast.net.
