Me, me, oh pick me! I would love to work on a TT here in Boston and JP is a good place to start. Shame I just left there after 20 years, but I will just have to pick up and move back if people want to start a TT. Karen Kieffer

Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition movement?
I am currently organizing two Training for Transition courses in Cambridge, MA in November in conjunction with the Transition Center Portland Maine and the Transition Network (UK). I'm also in the process of pulling together a steering group for Transition initiative Cambridge (TiC!) as well as a Boston Area Transition network (BATnet) for emerging Transition Initiatives. (See groups on this site.)
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
As a framework for responding to the great challenges of our time, Transition seems to hold rare promise!

Hi Robert,
are there any trainings in the near future?
I live in Wayland and am keen on stepping beyond my veg garden and involving my town. I know Transition would be a great way to go, but feel I need the training. Given my family situation and being extremely energy and gasoline conscious I can't bring myself to drive into Cambridge or further out once a week, so I'm looking for an intensive course. If you would be interested in giving a training, or know of one, I know of several others from this neck of the woods who would like to come too.
Thanks!
Katrien

Thank you Robert. I am interested in the training, but am not sure yet. I'd be interested in meeting up if there is a local group that meets weekly or monthly to learn more. Thanks for welcoming me and please do keep me updated. I may not be able to give the attention I would like to this project as I am pretty full up until the beginning of the new year. Best, Bridget

I have navigated all over the site and not found a place to contact people. May I suggest that you have a contact us somewhere for the main organizers. I wrote you over a week ago about the Training you are organizing in Cambridge on Nov. 22-23, which I no longer see listed here. Is it still happening? I would like to sign up, but could find no info on how exactly to do this. Could you please email me at patricia@ncenergy.org and let me know. Thanks.

Welcome Robert and Cambridge MA! Great to see you here. We look forward to hear more about how your courses go. And we'll do our best to make sure that they are announced to candidates. They're announced on our homepage. Make sure are updated as needed.

To record your group's experiences and local talent, so that others can benefit from them, go to Instructions for Starting Local Groups on Transition US and then to Transition Massachusetts. This makes your group visible to other groups in Massachusetts and elsewhere around the world. Be sure to ask questions as they arise. Enjoy and have fun!
