LEARN HOW TO GROW YOUR OWN MUSHROOMS!

Mushroom - Shitake - Organic

In this workshop you will learn by hands on experience how to grow mushrooms in your own backyard on logs that you might otherwise think of as waste wood!

We will gain a working knowledge of mushrooms, their life cycle, and some of their uses.

We will learn about tree/log selection, log drilling, plugging, sealing, and cultivation conditions.

The types of mushrooms that we will be spawning in the course will be: Oyster (Pleurotus ostreatus), Shiitake (Lentinula edodes), and Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum).

These mushrooms can be hard to find fresh in the store and can be expensive. With skills learned in this workshop, you will be on your way to growing a wide range of mushrooms with very little work or fuss.

If you would like to take home an innoculated log after the class, please bring a (hardwood, like oak), no longer than 3 feet long.
